This is The Cold Face, a brand new site by me (James) that's just getting started.

It is the tale of dark things are happening in Shropshire. 

It is a tale of mystery, infatuation and remorse. But not necessarily in that order. 

Who knows where it will lead – like the path around Bromlow Callow

Any resemblance to anyone is a result of my strange mind.

The story is entirely my idea but most of the material is produced using a wide range of AI tools including brainstorming with Google Gemini, text by Sudowrite, images by Leonardo AI and Gemini, video by KlingAI and Leonardo, music by Gemini and some audio by ElevenLabs.

I am also using original images and video which will be AI enhanced to fit the mood of the story. The videos will be hosted on YouTube.

The first twenty parts of the story have already been written and will be transferred to this platform over the next ten weeks starting in late May 2026, I am imaging the whole project will be produced over about a year.

I am aware that there are some inconsistencies in the early images and particularly the voices in the videos. This is a limitation of the AI being used and hopefully as I and it improve these will not be as noticeable.

There will be an accompanying podcast (hosted on Spotify for Creators) which will be linked within each of the posts.
